The Takamatsu Symbol Tower is the central facility of the Sunport Takamatsu area. The Takamatsu Symbol Tower consists of a hall building with two basement levels and seven stories above ground, and a tower building with two basement levels and 30 stories above ground. The hall building is used primarily as a music hall and the tower building is used primarily as offices. The basements of both the hall and tower buildings are used for parking.

Feature of Takamatsu Symbol Tower

After the completion of the Great Seto Bridge, Takamatsu became a place to be passed through. The Takamatsu Symbol Tower was planned to revive Takamatsu as a competitive city. The plan was to attract companies from outside the prefecture, but in reality many relocated from within Takamatsu. Currently, the Shikoku branch and Takamatsu branch of a large corporation are tenants.

The corridor connecting the hall building and the tower building is not only a link between the two buildings, but also an open space that serves as a plaza for people to gather. Direct access by stairs and escalators from the first floor. The rooftop of the 8th floor hall building and the setback area of the tower building are open to the public as a rooftop plaza. The stepped plaza feels at one with the ocean.
